A UK and Ireland occupational health and wellbeing provider that supports employee health for NHS, emergency services, government and private employers.
Optima Health is an occupational health company. It helps employers look after their staff's health, from sickness absence and mental health support to physical health checks and musculoskeletal care. Its careers page calls itself the largest occupational health provider in the UK and Ireland, and its clients include NHS bodies, blue light services, government and firms in energy, construction and rail.
Its careers page lists four values: "We are one team", "We do the right thing", "We are shaping tomorrow" and "We are never too big to care". It says it aims to be innovative and focused on clinical excellence and workplace wellbeing.
It works through regional teams, with the careers page naming North West and Central and a North region, and a trainee vacancy has appeared in Northern Ireland. A full list of sites was not on the pages we read.
It says it is a Disability Confident Committed employer and a Real Living Wage employer, and lists 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, a pension, life assurance and paid study days. These are the company's own claims, and the staff quotes on its page are chosen by Optima.
Trainee roles such as Trainee Occupational Health Technician and Trainee Occupational Health Advisor have been advertised, and a Clinical Training Academy supports clinicians. The vacancy we opened had closed, so requirements and pay were not confirmed. Check its careers site for current traineeships.
