A London early-stage venture firm that leads first funding rounds for start-ups, with a focus on financial services and related areas.
Outward VC is an early-stage venture capital firm based in London, founded in 2019. It invests in start-ups where financial services meets areas such as data privacy, healthcare, pensions, education and AI, and usually leads a company's first outside funding round.
Co-founder Devin Kohli described the firm's mission as "to make the early-stage experience easier for Founders". Co-founder Kevin Chong said "we help early-stage start-ups breakthrough by leading their first institutional funding round".
Outward VC is based in London. A 2025 fellowship listing placed the job in a central London (EC2) office with one remote day a week. Its latest news we found is from September 2024.
The listing called the firm's culture "anti-hype meets quiet confidence" and stressed optimism, hustle, humility and collective strength. That is the company's own claim.
There is an entry route: a 12-month Investment Fellow role starting in August or September 2025, working with the general partners on finding, assessing and supporting start-ups, with possible permanent employment afterwards. It asked for a real interest in start-ups and venture, plus strong research and communication skills. Pay was not stated, and the listing is no longer live, so check Outward's site for the next one (as at 2025).
