The University of Oxford's publishing department, producing academic books, journals, dictionaries and school and English-teaching materials.
Oxford University Press (OUP) is a department of the University of Oxford. It publishes across all academic subjects, plus Bibles, music, school and college textbooks, children's books, English-language teaching materials, dictionaries and journals.
The university describes its aim as advancing research, scholarship and education through worldwide publishing. OUP serves research, education and English language teaching, and aims to make high-quality resources as widely available as possible.
OUP is based in Oxford, UK, and sells in most countries. The university page says it employs more than 5,000 people worldwide. Its governing group is made up of academics called delegates, and the Chief Executive also holds the old title Secretary to the Delegates.
A Corndel case study says education and research are the backbone of OUP's culture, and that its apprenticeship programme with Corndel has become a permanent part of the organisation. An old internship page shows an eight-week Oxford-based summer internship in 2016 for people interested in publishing and business.
That internship round is long closed and we did not find current entry requirements or pay. Check the OUP careers site for current apprenticeships and internships.
