A Manchester AI company whose platform helps organisations use data and AI to make better decisions. Founded in 2015, it is now part of UiPath.
Peak is a British AI company based in Manchester. Its software-as-a-service platform helps data scientists build AI workflows, run them on a company's data and share the results through APIs or built-in web applications. Its tools hide the complexity of the underlying cloud systems, so teams can focus on using data to make decisions, a field it calls decision intelligence.
Peak was founded in 2015 in Manchester by Richard Potter, who is chief executive, David Leitch and Atul Sharma. It has offices in Jaipur, India and New York, USA as well as its Manchester base. According to Wikipedia, UiPath acquired Peak in March 2025, though the deal details and whether Peak still operates as a separate brand should be checked with current sources.
We did not find a formal mission statement in the pages we read. Peak's own materials focus on helping businesses make better, faster decisions using AI, with examples of large organisations making many thousands of decisions a day.
Peak has also been recognised as one of the North West's rapidly growing tech scale-ups: its site notes that Tech Nation's Future Fifty growth programme welcomed it into a cohort.
For young people, Peak is a good example of a high-growth AI company outside London, which matters if you want a career in AI without moving to the capital. Roles include data science, software engineering, product and customer success. The pages we read do not describe early-careers programmes, so check the current careers information, bearing in mind the ownership change.
