A London pension provider with a simple app, aimed especially at people who work for themselves.
Penfold is a pension provider. Its app lets people open a pension, transfer old ones, see contributions and performance in real time and use forecasting tools to see what their retirement income might look like. It is popular with freelancers and sole traders, who can pay in flexibly as their income changes.
Chief executive Chris Eastwood says Penfold "exists to make pension saving so much easier, more accessible, more engaging, so that people save more for later life". Its job listings say it is on a mission to build the pension of the future.
Penfold's job listing names London and Tallinn, Estonia, as its locations. In March 2026 it was named Best Pension at the Good Money Guide Investing Awards, which shows it is still trading.
A listing describes a growing start-up with more than 50 team members where early hires help shape the culture, and mentions hybrid working, development support and regular team events. These are the company's own claims and the listing is undated.
We found no graduate scheme, internship or apprenticeship. The roles we saw asked for pension payroll or pensions-industry experience, so they are not entry-level. Check Penfold's careers page for newer openings.
