In its graduate listing Philips says it is "committed to improving billions of lives worldwide" and wants to make the world healthier and more sustainable through innovation. These are Philips' own words.
The UK and Ireland headquarters is in the Farnborough Aerospace Centre, Hampshire, which Philips announced as its new base in March 2021. At that time the company said it employed about 1,000 people in the UK. Philips apprenticeship listings also name Bristol, Oxfordshire and Reading for field service roles.
Philips says it is at its best when its people are at theirs as individuals, and it promotes flexible working, wellbeing activities and an agile, collaborative workplace. Its graduate scheme described three office days and two from home. Those are company claims, so ask people who work there.
The Graduate Leadership Programme we read lasts two years (a supply chain rotation in year one, then a commercial rotation) and was open to graduates of any degree. The listing we fetched was an old one (deadline July 2022), so use it only to understand the shape of the scheme. Salary was described only as competitive, with 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays and a pension. Philips Electronics UK also advertised a Field Service Engineering apprenticeship that closed on 9 May 2026; level, pay and requirements were not shown.
