A venture firm started by former founders including Wise co-founder Taavet Hinrikus, with a team in London and Tallinn.
Plural is a European venture firm launched in June 2022 by founders who wanted to be the investors they wished they had had. It focuses on early-stage companies and backs founders with a distinctive view of the future. It is run by people who have built companies themselves.
Its founders have put their aims in their own words. Taavet Hinrikus said "We're the investors we would have liked to have when we were building our own companies", and Ian Hogarth said Plural "was created to give unemployables a place to call home".
A January 2024 article says the team had grown to 15 people based in Tallinn and London, and the 2022 launch release is datelined London. We did not find 2026 evidence, so check Plural's own site.
The investors named are Taavet Hinrikus, Ian Hogarth, Khaled Helioui, Sten Tamkivi and Carina Namih. Between them they have started or helped build Wise, Songkick, Skype and Bigpoint (company description).
We found no graduate scheme, internship or vacancies. With a team this small, the sensible route is to follow the firm and build experience in start-ups first.
