A food and health research institute on the Norwich Research Park, training PhD students and hosting research placements.
The Quadram Institute is a research institute on the Norwich Research Park. Its scientists study how food, the gut and the microbes living in us affect health.
On its student pages it says training the "next generation of researchers" is part of its mission, and that its projects aim to create discoveries that benefit society. We did not find a longer mission statement on the pages we read.
It is at Rosalind Franklin Road, Norwich Research Park, Norwich, NR4 7UQ. Footer logos on its site include BBSRC, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the University of East Anglia. We did not find a headcount.
It says students develop transferable skills such as science communication and entrepreneurship. This is the Institute's own description.
PhD studentships of three or four years are offered through training partnerships, and students enrol at the University of East Anglia. The page mentions undergraduate opportunities and work experience in science, with no details, and a Research Experience Placement vacancy title appeared in search results which we did not read. We did not find apprenticeships, so treat this as a research-training route. Check its vacancies page.
