About Rathbones

Rathbones is a wealth management firm. It helps people invest their money and plan their finances, through investment management, financial planning and an asset management business.

Rathbones says its purpose is: "we help people invest their money well, so they can live well." Its stated values are "We aim high", "We get it done", "We show we care" and "We do the right thing".

The graduate scheme is based in London, and the firm has offices in places such as Liverpool and Glasgow, according to a 2026 article about its internships. We did not confirm a full list of UK offices.

Rathbones says a Next Gen Network connects early-career staff across the UK, and that colleague-led groups cover gender balance, multicultural inclusion, abilities and social mobility. It says it is a Level 1 Disability Confident employer. Its head of emerging talent is quoted saying: "Our people are at the heart of what we do." These are the company's own claims.

The Graduate Wealth Manager Programme is a two-year fixed-term scheme starting in September 2026, with rotations through areas such as investment management, financial planning, research, operations, investment risk and marketing. It asked for a 2:1 in any subject and no finance background, and the listing gave pay of £40,000. Professional qualifications (Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma, then Level 7) are supported, and at the end you can apply for a permanent client-facing role. A May 2026 article also mentions a new nine-month year-in-industry placement from September 2026, summer interns in data and technology (London, Liverpool, Glasgow) and school-leaver apprentices. Applications for the 2026 scheme closed on 16 October 2025.
