Reach is headquartered at One Canada Square in Canary Wharf, London, and has newsrooms across the UK linked to its local titles. Its history goes back to The Newcastle Journal in 1832 and the Daily Mirror in 1903. Trinity Mirror was formed by a merger in 1999, bought Local World in 2015 and the publishing assets of Northern and Shell, including the Express titles, in 2018, and renamed itself Reach that year. It started the Pride of Britain Awards in 1999. Its printing arm operates from three UK sites.
