The Formula 1 team and technology group based in Milton Keynes, which designs and builds its cars and, with Ford, its own engines.

About Oracle Red Bull Racing

Oracle Red Bull Racing is a Formula 1 team based at the Red Bull Technology Campus in Milton Keynes. The same campus is home to Red Bull Advanced Technologies, the group's engineering arm, and to Red Bull Powertrains, which builds the team's engines. The team has won eight Drivers' titles and six Constructors' titles. A jobs-site profile puts the group at 1,001 to 5,000 employees, which is an outside estimate. The company began in 2004 as Red Bull Technology Limited and Red Bull Racing Limited, and now spans the race team, Red Bull Ford Powertrains and Red Bull Advanced Technologies.

The team traces its roots to Stewart Grand Prix, which began racing in 1997 and was later renamed Jaguar Racing by Ford. Red Bull bought it on 15 November 2004, and the team has been based in Milton Keynes ever since. It races under an Austrian licence. Dietrich Mateschitz was the founder of Red Bull. Laurent Mekies became Team Principal and CEO in 2025, taking over from Christian Horner, who led the team from 2005 to 2025.

After Honda left as a works partner, Red Bull Powertrains was formed to build and maintain the engines, with a small facility next to the chassis department. In February 2023 Ford announced a partnership with Red Bull Powertrains from the 2026 season, covering battery, electric motor and combustion engine development. The campus wind tunnel was originally built by the former Arrows team, and the site began life as an aircraft development facility, RAE Bedford, in 1946.

We did not find a formal mission statement or published list of values on the pages we could read. Red Bull's official site was not readable by our tools, so the culture of the team is described only by outside sources. A jobs-site profile gives it a mixed employee rating, so ask people who work there for the real picture.

Roles in a Formula 1 team include aerodynamicists, designers, manufacturing technicians, electronics and software engineers, simulation and data staff, mechanics, supply chain, marketing, finance and people teams. Engine work at Red Bull Powertrains adds mechanical, electrical and battery engineering. Milton Keynes is within commuting distance of London, Oxford and Northampton, so the team draws from a wide area. Pierre Waché is the team's Technical Director, and Adrian Newey, its former Chief Technical Officer, left for Aston Martin in 2025.
