Roche is a healthcare company that makes medicines and diagnostic tests. Roche's Welwyn site is its main UK hub for research and development, with work in computational sciences, early drug discovery, clinical trials, commercial operations and corporate functions.

Roche's careers page says its aim is developing innovative tests and treatments for people with serious illnesses, and it sets a goal of delivering 20 new medicines by 2030. These are the company's own statements.
