About Rokt

Rokt is an ecommerce technology company. Its software appears at the moment someone is buying something online, the "transaction moment", and uses AI to show relevant offers, products and services from other businesses. It lists customers such as PayPal, Uber, Hulu and HelloFresh, and its products include Rokt Ads, Rokt Pay+, Rokt Thanks, Rokt Catalog and Rokt Aftersell, according to its own 2022 review.

Rokt says its purpose is "to unleash a world of possibilities by unlocking the moment that matters most." Its founder and chief executive, Bruce Buchanan, a former leader at the airline Jetstar, started the company in Sydney in 2012, believing that ecommerce could be more relevant to each shopper. Its own review describes a hyper-growth community of curious explorers, with a core value of being a Force for Good. It grew from 10 people at its start to about 400 across its offices by 2022, and its chief people officer is Sarah Wilson.

The company is headquartered in New York with offices in Sydney, London, Singapore and Tokyo, and it says it has built its business over more than a decade. A London company page on Built In says it is an on-site employer in London, with most teams in the office four days a week and one week each quarter when people can work from anywhere. The page lists a Strategic Account Manager, EMEA role in London. Rokt says it is proud of its transparency: in the 2022 review it said it had published salaries for two years to promote fairness, and it holds a yearly hackathon called Rokt'athon. It also says it invests a large share of its income in research and development, and complies with data rules including GDPR. The company says "we believe we are better together" about its London working style. These are company claims.
