Salts Healthcare designs and makes stoma care devices and related products. Through its Medilink dispensing business, it also runs a national network of 19 Dispensing Care Centres that supply stoma and continence products from all manufacturers, according to its website.

In July 2021 the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Institute of Technology reported that Salts won a top National Employer Award at the Festival of Learning, for building routes that let production workers gain qualifications and become fully qualified engineers.
