Satago

A London software company that helps small businesses get paid on time with invoice finance and payment chasing tools.

About Satago

Satago builds software that helps small businesses and their accountants manage cash flow, meaning the money coming in and going out. Late-paying customers are one of the biggest problems for small firms, so Satago offers tools to chase unpaid invoices automatically, to see how risky each customer is, and to borrow against unpaid invoices (called invoice finance) when cash is tight. It is aimed at freelancers, sole traders and small businesses.

Satago is a UK fintech (financial technology company) with its registered address at 88 Kingsway, London. Its own story page dates its start to 2012 or 2013 (the page timeline and its statement of founding differ), when it launched a cash flow tool with automated credit control and risk insights; a PitchBook profile gives 2012. The page does not name the founders. Sinéad McHale is the current chief executive. A Polish tech hub opened in 2019, and a PitchBook profile lists 69 employees as at 2024. We could not confirm how the company is owned today.

Satago states its goal as: "We want to take the stress, time and complexity out of cashflow management for good." It wants businesses and their accountants to manage credit risk, customers who owe money and access to invoice finance in one place. In July 2026 McHale described the aim as making invoice finance and cash flow tools "more inclusive and easier to access".

Its main products are Credit Control, Risk Insights and Invoice Finance, with versions for businesses, accountants, brokers and partners. Its story page records selective invoice finance (2015), full invoice finance (2020) and an embedded invoice finance product (2023), meaning the finance option appears inside another company's software. Named partners include Sage, through an embedding partnership from 2020 that was expanded on 1 July 2026 so that banks and lenders can see real-time accounting data and lend to sole traders and micro businesses, and Xero, listed among its accounting integrations. A 2021 offering with an unnamed major UK bank is also mentioned.

We found no information about working culture, team size by office, or graduate, internship or apprenticeship routes on the pages we read, so check Satago's own website for vacancies. It is a good example of a small, technology-led company working at the meeting point of accounting, lending and software, which suits students interested in finance or fintech.
