Its 2024 apprentice and graduate intake was split between Scotland (12 apprentices and 2 graduates) and the southern network (4 graduates). New recruits trained at an Edinburgh training centre with an academic partnership with Fife College. The 2026 operational management programme is advertised across southern England, with travel and accommodation arranged for overnight training.

In October 2024, 18 people joined: 12 First Call Operative apprentices (three years) and 6 engineering graduates, whose programme has placements of up to three months in the first 18 months and a six-month final placement. The Graduate Trainee Operational Management Programme lasts two years from August 2026 and paid £35,911, and asks for a 2:1 or above achieved within the last three years. Apprentice entry requirements were not stated. Trainee gas engineer and apprentice roles also appear in Epsom and Portsmouth listings.
