The UK arm of Siemens Healthineers, the medical technology company, with sites in Camberley, Oxfordshire and Sudbury and several apprenticeships.
Siemens Healthineers makes and services medical technology such as scanners and laboratory diagnostics. In the UK its teams build MRI magnets, make laboratory and hospital instruments, and install and repair equipment in hospitals, alongside customer service, software and business roles.
Its UK apprenticeship page invites people to "help shape the future of healthcare" and describes MRI magnets as being at the heart of scanners that allow diagnosis without harmful radiation. We did not find a single mission line on the UK pages.
The apprenticeship page names Camberley, Eynsham in Oxfordshire (magnet technology) and Sudbury in Suffolk (diagnostics instruments), and mentions apprentices working on site at hospitals such as Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. Customer service apprenticeships run nationwide.
One customer service engineer quoted on the page says there is "a massive support base for apprentices", and that training can include courses in Germany or America. That is the company's chosen testimonial, so treat it as a claim and ask apprentices about their experience.
Apprenticeships include a four-year Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service (Level 3 NVQ/HNC), a three-year Level 3 Magnet Technology apprenticeship delivered with local colleges, and Field Service Engineering. Sudbury asks for at least five GCSEs including maths and English at grade 4 or above. Applications involve an online form, a game-based assessment and an assessment centre with an interview and group exercise. Pay was not stated. Directory pages also list graduate and 12-month placement roles, which we could not read in detail.
