About Sprift

Sprift is a property data company. Its platform pulls together information about individual homes across the UK, so that people who work in property do not have to chase it from many different places. The company says it holds more than 420 pieces of information, called datapoints, on over 30 million residential properties. The information comes from sources such as Royal Mail, Ordnance Survey, the Environment Agency, HM Land Registry, Ofcom, Historic England, Ofsted, the Valuation Office Agency and the Office for National Statistics. Users can build property reports in a few clicks, compare similar homes, find new business prospects and, more recently, use an AI tool built on the same data.

Matt Gilpin founded Sprift in 2016 and is its chief executive. The company describes itself as the "single source of truth for UK residential property-specific data". Its stated aim is to give professionals and consumers clear, reliable market information from official and trusted sources, so that they can make decisions with confidence and complete a sale or purchase more smoothly. Mr Gilpin has said the platform gives property professionals instant access to upfront, comprehensive data, which he argues helps transactions go through and reduces the number that fall apart.

Sprift is a UK business serving UK customers: estate and letting agents, surveyors, mortgage brokers and underwriters, conveyancers, investors and developers, and financial services professionals. A UK business-list article places it in Hackney, London, although Sprift's own about page does not give an office address, so we have not confirmed more than that. It has appeared in the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 for two years running; it ranked 33rd in 2024, on reported revenue growth of 823 per cent over three years, and it also featured in Deloitte's wider Fast 500 list for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The about page lists a leadership team that includes an operations director, a commercial director, a chief technology officer, a chief innovation officer, and heads of product, data, partnerships, customer experience and strategic accounts, plus data scientists, data analysts, developers, designers and customer success staff. People who speak on the page describe freedom to explore ideas, ideas that move onto a roadmap and get built, a supportive team, and room to learn. They say the team has backgrounds in property, creative work and data. These are the company's own descriptions, and no formal values list is published.

The mix of jobs is wide. A property data business needs people who clean and match huge datasets, engineers who build the software, designers who make it easy to use, product managers, and customer teams who help estate agents and surveyors get the most from it. Sales, marketing and operations staff support them. If you like maths, computing, geography or design, this company puts those interests together. Check Sprift's own website for current openings.
