A UK wealth management firm with an Investment Graduate Programme in London and graduate routes in Cirencester.
St. James's Place (SJP) is a wealth management firm and one of the UK's larger ones, according to a graduate listing. Its Investment Directorate chooses and oversees the investments behind its clients' portfolios.
SJP describes its early careers programmes as investing in potential and giving a platform to launch a career in financial services. We did not find a formal mission line in the sources we read.
The Investment Graduate Programme is based in the City of London office, with staff in the office at least three days a week and some travel to other UK offices, particularly Cirencester. Other 2027 graduate listings (technology, actuarial) are based in Cirencester, and a risk management programme is in London.
SJP says it offers a collaborative environment where learning and development are central, and a commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace. That is the company's own wording. We did not find independent culture information.
The Investment Graduate Programme lasts two years on a permanent contract, rotating through Investment Management, the CIO Office and Investment Product, then specialising. It includes study for the IMC and CFA Levels I and II. The listing gave pay of £40,000 and asked for a 2:1 in finance, economics or maths, A-level maths at grade B, and full UK right to work. The deadline was 16 October 2026 and the page now shows it closed. A school leavers apprenticeship register-of-interest also exists, and a past year placement for business analysts, but we did not read their details.
