StudentCrowd collects reviews from verified students about their universities and accommodation, and turns them into UK university league tables and awards. It also gives accommodation providers insight based on what students want.

We did not find a formal mission statement. It describes its work as publishing rankings based on student views. Its 2026 awards drew on 41,955 reviews written between May 2024 and May 2026, scored across 11 categories such as careers service, job prospects and value for money.

It was founded in 2014 by Paul Humphreys (CEO) and Pete Sisson (CTO). A university-alumni article places it in the Midlands, and a business-data listing shows 27 employees and an office on Ludgate Hill in London.

Teams named include dataset specialists, partnerships, customer support, development and a student community. Roles listed on the business-data site include analyst, designer, digital content and social media, and a student brand ambassador.
