A London television production company, founded in 2008 by Stephen Lambert, behind Gogglebox, The Traitors and Race Across the World.
Studio Lambert is a British television production company that makes both unscripted and scripted programmes. Its best-known shows include Gogglebox, Undercover Boss, The Traitors in the UK and the US, Race Across the World, The Circle, Four in a Bed and Squid Game: The Challenge, a Netflix co-production. It is known for what Wikipedia calls innovative unscripted shows, many of which are formats, meaning a programme idea that can be sold and remade in other countries. Gogglebox, for example, has been made in countries including Australia, Ireland and Norway.
Stephen Lambert launched the company in 2008 and is its chief executive. Tim Harcourt, who joined in 2012, is chief creative officer. Its scripted division was set up in 2015 and has made drama such as Three Girls and The Nest. We did not find a written mission statement, so we have not invented one. It has won the Broadcast Award for Best Independent Production Company in 2020, 2024 and 2025, and was named Production Company of the Year at the 2024 Edinburgh TV Awards, according to Wikipedia.
Studio Lambert's headquarters is in London. It also has Studio Lambert North in Manchester, set up in 2018, and Studio Lambert Scotland in Glasgow and the Scottish Highlands, set up in 2021, as well as a US company in Los Angeles. That gives it a real spread of UK bases outside the capital. All3Media owned the company from 2012, and according to Wikipedia it has been part of Banijay UK since 2026, though we did not confirm that from a second source.
On how its programmes are made, Wikipedia says Gogglebox is filmed in participants' own homes using two small remote-controlled cameras operated from a temporary control room in the house, with each episode taking about two days to make. That is a distinctive way of working that suits a small, practical production team. Peers ranked Studio Lambert first among UK independent producers in 2019 and 2024, according to Wikipedia. We found no staff-written material on daily life, so culture is only partly described here.
A company that makes both formats and drama employs development producers who create new ideas, series producers, directors, edit producers, production managers and coordinators, researchers, casting teams, finance and business affairs staff, and assistants. Interests in people, storytelling, television or business can all lead here. The company's own website is the place to check for openings in London, Manchester and Glasgow.
