Techary

A London-founded consultancy that helps companies choose and set up technology.

About Techary

Techary helps companies buy, set up and look after their technology. For a business that might mean choosing the right laptops and software, building the office network, moving offices, or running an IT help desk so staff can get problems fixed. Its own words are that it wants to redefine the way technology is procured (bought), implemented and supported. It offers an alternative to traditional Managed Service Provider (a company that runs another firm's IT for a monthly fee) and Value-Added Reseller (a company that sells technology and adds services around it) models.

Techary was founded in 2012 by Tom Stephens, who is still Founder and CEO. A Sunday Times-linked article says he started the business after finishing his IT A-levels, and that it began as a website design firm before moving into technology consultancy. It is based in London, with a hub in Amsterdam and a US presence in New Jersey; a 2025 press release says it has also expanded into the UAE, Japan and Brazil, and a current job board lists roles in London, Orpington, New Jersey, Amsterdam and Singapore. In 2023 it appointed Michael Warren as a Non-Executive Director. It said in 2025 that it had nearly 100 people and had completed projects in more than 20 countries.

We did not find a formal mission statement. Its own phrase is "Technology, done differently", and it says it believes customers should be able to adopt technology as quickly as it evolves. Its website lists values such as being forward-looking, looking for solutions that make a real difference, and customer empowerment, with support that evolves as fast as the technology it covers.

Its customers range from start-ups to global enterprises across industries and regions. Its job board describes work such as building infrastructure for low-latency financial trading (setups where speed matters to fractions of a second) and relocating a global fintech firm's headquarters. It also builds its own tools. In 2025 it was named on the Sunday Times 100 list of fast-growing private companies, according to its press release.

Roles listed at the time of our check (October 2026) included Sales Development Representative (January 2027 intake, London), Commercial Account Executive, Enterprise Account Manager, Managed Services Sales Specialist, pre-sales engineers (technical people who help customers choose solutions), a Product Manager, an IT Projects Lead and support technicians. The sales development role looks the most likely entry point, but we did not read its requirements, pay or any apprenticeship or graduate scheme details.
