A UK company that helps people train as childminders and run home nurseries, and helps parents find and book childcare.
Tiney helps people train as childminders and set up their own home nurseries. It supports them with training, Ofsted registration, business setup and admin, and parents use its app to find and book childcare.
It says it aims to fix the childcare crisis by making childminding a more respected, better-paid career while giving families high-quality care. Its founder's stated aim was to empower micro-entrepreneurs to deliver care from their own homes.
It was founded in 2019 by Brett Wigdortz, who previously led the education charity Teach First, and operates across the UK. An article says it has over 50 people and over 1,500 childminders working or training. We did not find a headquarters address.
Tiney describes itself as mission-driven and collaborative. A jobs site says roles are UK remote, with flexible hours and a four-day week on full pay.
For young people, childminding is the main route: Tiney says it suits people from many backgrounds, and childminders must be Ofsted-registered. We did not find a graduate scheme, apprenticeship or work experience page, so check the Tiney careers site.
