TransUnion UK

The UK arm of a global credit reference and information company, headquartered in Leeds with graduate and apprenticeship routes.

About TransUnion UK

TransUnion UK is part of a global information and insights company and describes itself as one of the UK's leading credit reference agencies. It holds data that helps lenders and others check financial information, and it also employs software engineers, data engineers and analysts. Its UK roots are in Callcredit, which became part of TransUnion.

We did not find a formal mission statement. Its site uses the tagline 'Information for Good', and the company says it wants to help reduce the regional skills gap and invest in future talent.

TransUnion UK is headquartered in Leeds, with a registered office at One Park Lane, and a past graduate scheme also ran in Stockport. Its HR director has called Leeds 'one of the largest UK tech hubs outside London'. We did not find a UK headcount.

TransUnion signed up to The 5% Club in 2021, with a target of having apprentices, sponsored students and graduates on formal training make up 5% of its UK workforce within five years, and earned silver membership in the first year of the audit. It also runs work inspiration placements, Girls Into Tech and a women's leadership programme.

Past routes include a software engineering graduate scheme (2017: 12 places, STEM degree, three months of training) and a Level 5 Data Engineer Apprenticeship in Leeds that needed a Level 3 qualification such as two A levels or a BTEC. That apprenticeship listing is closed and pay was not stated, so check the TransUnion UK careers site for the next round.
