The UK arm of a European second-hand marketplace where members buy, sell and swap clothes and other items without seller fees.
Vinted is an online marketplace for second-hand goods. Members sell things they no longer need and buy unique pieces that are not sold in shops. It started with clothes but now covers children's items, homeware, books, electronics and even luxury handbags, with millions of items traded every day. The company says sellers pay no selling fees, with buyers paying a protection fee and postage.
Vinted describes itself as "on a mission to make second-hand first choice". It says it is open to anyone who believes well-made items should be reused for years instead of thrown away, and its impact report argues that second-hand is better than new for the climate, for your wardrobe and for your wallet. The idea began in 2008 in Lithuania, when cofounder Milda Mitkute was moving house with more clothes than she could take, and Justas Janauskas built a website so that she could pass them on to friends.
The company's headquarters is in Vilnius, Lithuania, with more than 2,000 people working across its headquarters and European offices. The UK is one of its biggest markets: reference sources say UK users grew from about 1.2 million in 2021 to around 8 million in 2023, and Vinted made its first TV series, RE/Style, with Prime Video UK in 2025, and worked with Oxfam on a show at London Fashion Week. A UK jobs listing on Built In London shows a London team with roles such as regulatory compliance, legal counsel and strategic payments partnerships.
Vinted describes itself as a startup where people lead cross-functional teams, where their impact goes beyond their formal job description and where they are encouraged to step out of their comfort zone. The company says its team spans many countries and cultural backgrounds. Its About page says it brings together people who think well-made items should be reused for years rather than discarded, which is the idea its founders started with. These are the company's own descriptions. The exact size of its UK team was not found, and listings that give a head count do not separate the UK from the whole group.
In the UK, jobs linked to Vinted include legal, compliance, payments partnerships and marketplace teams, and the wider business also needs people in product, engineering, data, customer support and brand. Vinted Go, its parcel-locker and delivery service, links it to UK carriers such as Evri. We did not find a UK office address, so check Vinted's own jobs pages for the current London roles.
