About WithSecure

WithSecure is a cybersecurity company that helps organisations find weak spots and defend themselves. Its consultants act like friendly hackers: they test a company's apps, cloud systems, networks and mobile apps to find problems before criminals do, assess threats and risks, and design solutions. It also sells security software, including endpoint protection (guarding laptops and phones), managed detection and response, where specialists watch for attacks, and tools that protect cloud collaboration apps such as Microsoft 365 and Salesforce.

WithSecure was created in 2022 when the Finnish company F-Secure, which is roughly 34 years old and based in Helsinki, split in two. The business-focused half took the name WithSecure, and the consumer products kept the F-Secure name. At launch it had about 1,300 employees, and Juhani Hintikka, the former F-Secure CEO, led it. Many former F-Secure leaders moved across with him. It has offices in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific, and an earlier UK internship listing placed interns in its London office, in the London Bridge area.

WithSecure's careers page says it protects businesses worldwide through a "Co-security approach", built on the idea that nobody can solve every cyber security problem alone, and the name itself reflects partnership with customers. It names integrity, a commitment to protecting the people who rely on it, and a drive to excel among its values. These are the company's own words.

Main products and services include WithSecure Elements, the cloud platform that bundles endpoint protection, vulnerability management and collaboration protection, and the managed detection and response services. Consultants work with enterprise customers on security testing and advice, and staff speak at conferences such as DEF CON and Black Hat. We did not find named UK clients.

Its careers page lists teams in IT and Technology, Marketing, Sales, Business Services and Customer Services, plus Internships and Early Careers, and says early-career staff get mentoring from experienced specialists. It describes a community of dedicated professionals who put workplace happiness first, and it quotes a staff member praising the freedom and trust they get. The page also shows employee ratings of 4.2 overall, which are the company's own figures. The best-documented early route is the UK Cyber Security Summer Internship, which has run in London. The 2025 round ran 23 June to 29 August 2025 (about 10 weeks) at £27,000 pro-rata, with applications by 17 January 2025. It needed the right to work in the UK, did not require a computer science degree, and encouraged curious beginners with some basics, such as capture-the-flag puzzles or personal research. Interns do the same training as new full-time consultants, shadow real jobs and run their own research project. Bright Network also listed an Associate Security Consultant role for 2025.
