Zscaler

A US cloud security company with a London office in the City, selling zero trust security to large organisations.

About Zscaler

Zscaler is a cybersecurity company that protects how people and devices connect to apps and the internet. Instead of putting staff on a trusted office network, its cloud platform, the Zero Trust Exchange, checks each connection, who is asking and what they want to reach, before allowing it. Zero trust means nothing is trusted automatically. Zscaler says it serves nearly 8,000 customers, including government agencies, schools and large companies, which is its own figure.

Zscaler was founded in 2007 by Jay Chaudhry, who is still its founder and CEO. Its headquarters is in Santa Clara, California, and it says it has more than 8,000 employees worldwide. Its London office is on the third floor of The Royal Exchange, 2 Royal Exchange Steps, in the City of London. Built In London shows many UK sales and technical roles, but we did not find UK headcount.

Zscaler's website says it helps customers become more agile, efficient, resilient and secure, and move from appliances in an office to cloud services. We did not find a separate formal mission statement. A job advert describes values such as results over titles ("impact over activity"), open and honest debate, customer focus, collaboration, ownership and accountability. It calls itself an "AI-forward enterprise" in that listing. These are the company's own claims.

Its main products are Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA, safe web access), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA, secure access to company apps), and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX, which shows when a user's connection is slow), plus tools such as Cloud Sandbox (a safe test room for suspicious files) and Deception (decoys to trap attackers). ThreatLabz is Zscaler's research team of more than 100 security experts, who study new attacks. The company says its cloud handles over 500 billion transactions a day.

Roles listed in London are largely in sales and technical success, and many are for experienced people. For example, a London Zero Trust Branch Account Executive role asked for six or more years of sales experience, and a Sales Development Specialist role tagged Junior asked for at least a year in sales or similar before it was removed on 8 September 2026. The listings describe hybrid working and benefits such as health plans, parental leave and education reimbursement, which are the company's claims. We found no UK graduate scheme, apprenticeship or internship, so check Zscaler's careers page.
